Hewison Airport Terms & Conditions

Your instructor will reach out to you 24-hours before your lesson time to confirm the weather is good for your lesson.

For Griffiss International Airport flights parking is located in front of MVCC at the Aviation Training Center. Your instructor will meet you at the front student entrance door. The address for the airport is 645 Bomber Drive, Rome, NY 13441

For South Albany Airport flights parking is available on the north end of the airport off of Old School Road. Proceed into the main airport building to meet your instructor. The address for the South Albany airport is 6 Old School Road, Selkirk, NY

Purchases are redeemable for six months from the date of purchase.

Students must be under 250 pounds and under 6′-6″ height.

Lessons are guaranteed for the time scheduled; therefore, you should arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time to ensure a timely start. Late arrival may result in forfeit of your lesson.

At least 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule. Cancelations within 24-hours will result in forfeit of your lesson. 

Flights are redeemable only at the airport for which they were purchased for.

No assumptions that a flight is canceled due to weather should be made. If you have questions or concerns, you should contact Maura at (518) 415-5107.

Purchases are non-refundable; however, purchased flights can be transferred to another person.

Flights can only accommodate one student. Additional passengers are not allowed.

Hewison Aviation reserves the right to reschedule flights for pilot-related concerns such as illness, weather, and other safety of flight issues. 

We want your flight to be a pleasant and wonderful experience as we share our passion with potentially new aviators. We will make every effort to make your flight a memory that will last a lifetime.

Your instructor can take photos upon request. Students are not allowed to take photos or video lessons.

Social Media Waiver: Purchasers of flight lessons grant consent to Hewison Aviation and waives the right to compensation or royalties to utilize images captured by Hewison Aviation on its social media platforms. Purchaser grants consent and waives the right to disapprove or approve the final content created. Purchaser grants consent and acknowledges other contracts will not be breached by participating in current agreement. Purchaser acknowledgement that they are granting consent and release any applicable business entity associated with Hewison Aviation or the school from liability and all claims. This class of release is a Blanket release. Hewison Aviation and its affiliates may produce, reproduce, edit, print, trade or share content (videos or moving photographs, illustrations, advertising, images, likeness, sound, and statements or comments) as desired.

All flights conducted by Hewison Aviation will be in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and no exceptions will be made for any reason.
